The Sears Tower is what draws most people to the Loop.  Once considered the world’s tallest building, standing 110 shores tall and rising 1,454 feet off the ground, it continues to draw visitors to the state.  The building is now called the Willis Tower.    The building holds offices as well as a health club, several restaurants, retail shops and other services.  Although the building does not have condos because there is too much foot traffic for residential residents to handle, it attracts many to live in the adjoining buildings to be near its foot print.

The Loop is affectionately the name for the heart of downtown Chicago.  It got its name from the train tracks that loop around the city center.  Within the skyscrapers and office buildings is the glitzy theater district where all the performing arts, musical, ballets, and theaters are located at.  Its where the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Goodman Theater and Chicago Cultural Center all call their home.

The Loop has a total population of about 16,300 people with a median income of about $75,000.00.  The area architecture is naturally dominated by skyscrapers and high rises.   The area is also known for its shopping district that competes with the nearby Magnificient Mile.  Along its streets are some of the most beautiful sculptures, made by some of the most famous artist, like Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, and Henry Moore to name a few.  One can walk the Loop’s streets all day long admiring its beautiful buildings and sculptures alone.

The Loop also houses the governmental buildings for the city of Chicago as well as Cook county.  The United States district court as well as the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

Being the center of Chicago, Loop is the area where most of the jobs are located at.  There are also an abundant of condos located in all the surrounding buildings that align its street.  So the Loop condos are readily available and are in a state of fluctuating levels of demand.
